A fresh-mix skin ritual: from powder to paste

Fresh-mix masks are a long-standing home ritual in India. You combine a dry powder with a liquid of your choice, and use it straight away.

Choose your liquid

Water, rose water or honey are commonly used. Check the directions on the pack for the options suited to the product, and pick the one that feels right for your skin.

Mix and apply

Stir to a smooth paste, apply an even layer to clean skin avoiding the eye area, and leave for the time shown on the pack.

Rinse and moisturise

Rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry and follow with your usual moisturiser.

Good to know · Do a patch test on a small area first, and do not use on broken or irritated skin.
